ACB raids 152 places in Haryana: 186 employees caught; Rs 86 lakh recovered, criminal case recommended against 34,

To curb corruption in Haryana, Anti Corruption Bureau has raided 152 places in the year 2023 and registered 205 cases. Which is the second highest number in the last 10 years. The Bureau conducted 152 raids in the year 2023 and recovered Rs 86,12,300 on the spot.


186 government employees, including 30 gazetted officers, 156 non-gazetted officers and 40 private individuals, were arrested during 2023. This information was given today by Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau Director General Shatrujit Kapoor during a press conference held at the Bureau's office.

DGP Kapoor said that the Bureau has sent a proposal to the government to attach the properties of many corrupt public servants. After the consent of the government, in such corruption cases, a petition was filed in the court regarding the property acquired from the proceeds of crime, which is at the advanced stage. But it is.


He said that as part of the campaign against corruption, the Bureau has registered 31 inquiries against 12 gazetted officers, 10 non-gazetted officers and 7 private individuals. Similarly, 82 investigations were completed in the year 2023. The Bureau recommended registration of criminal cases in 14 investigations against 34 gazetted officers, 10 non-gazetted officers and 47 private individuals.






Recommendation of action against these officers In 22 inquiries, departmental action was recommended against 12 gazetted officers, 27 non-gazetted officers and in 9 other inquiries, departmental action and registration of criminal case was written against 19 gazetted officers, 32 non-gazetted officers and 66 private individuals.


Similarly, in 45 investigations, action has been taken against 65 gazetted officers, 69 non-gazetted officers and 113 private individuals. In the remaining 37 investigations, they were closed as the allegations were not proved. Along with this, 10 technical reports have been sent by the Bureau to the government, in which departmental action has been written against 9 gazetted officers and 5 non-gazetted officers.


How many officers were caught in which department?


DGP said that 49 policemen, 21 officers/employees of Revenue Department, 10 of Electricity Department, 7 of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, 6 of Urban Local Bodies, 5 of Health Services, 4 of Cooperative Department, 4 of Education Department. , 4 from Excise and Taxation Department, 4 from Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, 4 from Public Health Engineering, 2 from Development and Panchayat Department.


Respected DGP Shatrujit Kapoor, 

who made the complaint, said that the role of the complainant is very important in making any raid successful. He also took feedback from the complainants calling them the strongest link of the raid. He said that Anti Corruption Bureau offices have also been established at the district level which are operational.


He boosted the morale of the complainants by presenting them certificates from his lotus flowers. He informed that even after the raid, the Bureau provides facilities to the complainants regarding their pending issues in the respective offices.
